Smurfs The Lost Village With Lennertz Music Now Available

Smurfs The Lost Village

I have some Smurfy news for you today! Sony Pictures has released the soundtrack for their animated features Smurfs the Lost Village. The soundtrack features music from Christopher Lennertz and Shaley Scott.

The Lennertz Smurfs the Lost Village Score

Madison Gate Records was tapped to produce and release the soundtrack which is now available digitally at Amazon.

The Smurfs always had great music, and I am glad that tradition continues. Lennertz is no stranger to write music for the Smurfs or animation. So, we can presume the music will be just Smurfy. With the soundtrack release, we can now check out the score to see if it did meet the hype.

Lennertz previously wrote the music for the Sony Pictures Animation shorts The Smurfs: A Christmas Carol and The Legend of Smurfy Hollow.

Smurfs and the Lost Village

Either way, The Lost Village will hit theaters on April 2, 2017 from Sony Pictures Animation. Kelly Asbury (Shrek 2) directed the film for Producer Jordan Kerner and Executive Producer Raja Gosnell, who produced Sony’s two live action/CGI Smurfs movies.

Starring Demi Lovato, Rainn Wilson, Mandy Patinkin, Joe Manganiello, Jack McBrayer and Danny Pudi, The Lost Village follows the adventures of Smurfette and her brother Hefty, Clumsy, and Brainy as they trek through the enchanted Enchanted Forest and discover another Smurfs village.

Sounds like fun and the usual Smurf excitement. So far, the film feels like something good for the whole family and for us Smurf veterans. Only time will tell if that is true or not, but I am confident that it Smurfs the Lost Village will not be as cheesy since it will be animated. Either way, you can find more information about the film over at the official movie website.
