Olaf’s Frozen Adventure Taps Christophe Beck

Frozen Adventure

Walt Disney is making a new Frozen short to go with the upcoming sequel to the franchise. They call the new short Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, and they hired Christophe Beck to write its score.

Olaf’s Frozen Adventure Special for the Holidays

It maybe summer, but the movie studios are already working on their holiday specials. Walt Disney wants more Frozen money, so they are giving us a new Frozen television special this year. Olaf’s Frozen Adventure will air on ABC, and it will show case music from Christophe Beck.

Kevon Deters and Stevie Wermers-Skelton directed that animated special for Walt Disney Pictures with Roy Conli as the producer. Written by kate Anderson and Elyssa Samsel, the short stars Kristen Bell, Josh Gad and Idina Menzel as their roles from the Frozen feature film.

Christophe Beck to Score Olaf’s Frozen Adventure

Christophe Beck is no stranger to animation, nor is he a stranger to the Frozen franchise. He wrote the music for the original 2013 hit as well as the short film Frozen Forever. Walt Disney already has him working on their sequel film, Frozen 2, which they plan to release in 2019. Thus, if you already enjoy Frozen music, you should enjoy the upcoming short as well.

I never seen the original film outside a few clips here and there, but I am familiar with the music, especially the single “Let it Go”. With how well the original was received, sequels were inevitable. Still, I did not foresee the holiday special. Sure, a Frozen television series was bound to happen, but I did not believe a holiday short would be the first episode.

If you have kids, you now have your plans for the holidays. If you don’t, you might as well join in the fun. No air date yet for Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, but we should get one as the holidays draw near. Until them, you can describe your experience with the Frozen franchise in the comments below.
