Vampirina Coming to Disney Junior with Music from Kooman and Dimond

Vampirina

Disney has a new children’s show for those who love music and animation they are calling Vampirina.

Kooman and Dimond to Make Music for Vampirina

Walt Disney Television tapped Kooman and Dimond (aka Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond) to write the music for their upcoming animated children’s series Vampirina. This will be Kooman’s and Dimond’s first foray into animation soundtracks. You might know them better for their stage musical such as Dani Girl and Homemade Fusion.

The duo will write all the songs for the show including the score, theme song and inserts. The series will feature a new insert song with each episode. James Van der Beek, Lauren Graham and Isabella Crovetti are performing the theme song.

Big Musical Production for a Kids’ Show

We have no trailer for the new series yet, but we do know some things. From its description, Vampirina sounds interesting. While its premise is typical for children’s show, its musical library is not. I cannot think of many other series that provide new songs for every episode. Most of the ones I do know about tend to be educational in nature. Because of this, I am interested in how Disney and Brown Bag will pull it off.

While we are still months before the series airs, I am already excited. I can only imagine what a child might feel. If you or someone you know is interested in this series, post your comment below. You should then bookmark this site to learn more of the soundtrack as the premiere draws closer.
